Wendy went on to earn two master’s degrees in her path to a leadership role at Atrium Health. Her daughters graduated from college and Wendy remarried.
Last year, Wendy Franklin returned to Crisis Assistance Ministry, this time as a member of the Board of Directors. And when people ask her why she volunteers her time, she’s more than willing to share her own story. “Just that one step forward, that little bit of assistance – it changed everything,” she says.
