Lemonade Stand Makes a Splash

Siblings Hannah, Kelsey, and Nicholas decided they wanted to make a difference and give back to the community. While Mom and Dad put together a yard sale, they sold lemonade and homemade cookies, with the proceeds benefiting families seeking help at Crisis Assistance Ministry.

August 27, 2019

When Hannah and her family took a tour at Crisis Assistance Ministry, they were inspired to help. They contributed to their neighborhood sock drive, which benefited families shopping at the Free Store, but it didn’t seem like enough.

While Mom and Dad put together a yard sale, Hannah along with her brother and sister, Nicholas and Kelsey, made their own plan. The young entrepreneurs decided to combine their efforts and put together a lemonade stand complete with homemade cookies.

Who could say no to these three, especially since the profits would help families in need? Before the morning was over they sold all of the cookies and only had a smidgen of lemonade left.

Hannah, Kelsey, and Nicholas were overjoyed to give back to Crisis Assistance Ministry and are now proud volunteers as well. They are committed to helping their neighbors and encourage you to do the same.
