With the end of the CDC eviction moratorium, thousands of households across Charlotte-Mecklenburg will again be at risk of homelessness. These are the individuals and families hardest-hit by COVID, having suffered job loss, reduced income, medical and/or childcare challenges as a result of the pandemic. Nationwide, more than one in seven renters have not caught up on rent during the pandemic, with renters of color facing the greatest hardship.
