Crisis Assistance Ministry Partner Agencies are a network of human service organizations that serve people in poverty in Mecklenburg County. Trained Partner Agency caseworkers who identify a need for emergency financial assistance, furniture, appliances, and other basic needs through the course of working with their customers, can submit an online application to Crisis Assistance Ministry on their behalf. Partner Agencies attend regularly scheduled meetings where identified needs and gaps in the community are shared.
To become a Partner Agency, organizations complete a short online agreement. Once we have reviewed your form, you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign up for training.
If you have any questions about being a Partner Agency or the online portal, please email [email protected]. We are not currently accepting referrals for furniture assistance.
Partner Agency staff is available Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, except holidays.
Crisis Assistance Ministry is pleased to offer the opportunity for Partner Agencies to shop for clothing and household goods on behalf of the individuals and families they serve. Available items include men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, coats, school uniforms, kitchenware, dishes, and linens. These are offered in bulk and free of charge to nonprofits for distribution directly to low-income Mecklenburg County residents.
Partner Agency shopping appointments are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 500-A Spratt St.
This service is only available by appointment and Partner Agency shoppers will be required to follow COVID-19 safety precautions, including completing an online health self-screening, wearing a face covering (mask) during their visit, and adhering to social distancing. Agencies that sign up to participate in this service agree not to resell any items.
