Kelvin has volunteered as Furniture Bank Customer Service support for 2 years now, learning about the agency through his relationship with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He serves faithfully each Saturday assisting customers with shopping and much more. Staff says, “He’s also our go-to guy when we have furniture items that need to be built or repaired!”
Jackie Finds New Purpose Helping with Free Store
Jackie Little learned about agency volunteer opportunities while donating her late husband’s clothing. She began volunteering in the Free Store over a year ago, consistently offering her support every Tuesday afternoon. Free Store customers adore Ms. Jackie for her hard work and upbeat attitude.
Thank You to the Girl Scouts
These fabulous Girl Scouts baked muffins to share with waiting families then spent their Saturday morning passing them out along with bottled water. Next, they stepped into our warehouse and worked to inspect and prepare donated clothing for families who shop here free-of-charge.
Christine Eckert connects faith to community needs
Christine Eckert became an agency volunteer through the faith community at Elevation Church over 6 years ago. She has participated in every volunteer project offered, from inspecting donated goods to moving chronically homeless individuals into housing.
